Reflections on First, Break All The Rules—Leveraging Workforce Research to Attract and Retain High-Performance Employees

  • Assess the significant research findings of The Gallup Organization's immense, in-depth study of more than 80,000 managers in over 400 companies, across a wide variety of business sectors (including health care), as presented in the landmark workforce book First, Break All the Rules.
  • Understand the proven, data-driven linkages between employee opinions and productivity, company profit, customer satisfaction and workforce turnover rates—and recognize how you and your management team can leverage such knowledge to maximize translating each employee's talent into quality performance.
  • Discern why and how the best supervisors select individuals for talent, instead of skills or experience—and investigate the twelve research-based questions that are at the heart of measuring what you and your alternate-site organization need to do to attract, energize and retain the most talented employees.

The instructional design for this program includes a combination of: lecture, interactive exercises, case reviews and ongoing Q&A.

Participants will complete a Plan of Action, at the end of the program, which will outline program principles that will be incorporated into the participant’s work environment.
