Description

You will develop, oversee, and manage a comprehensive benefits program designed to attract and retain qualified candidates and employees, and to ensure that the company benefit strategy, programs and policies remain externally competitive, legally complaint and consistent with achieving the organization goals.  You will oversee all benefit programs to include a self-insured PPO plan, HDHP and self-insured dental programs, basic and optional life and AD&D, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts and health savings account.  You will be responsible for the management of ongoing administration responsibilities related to the 401(k) Employee Savings Plan, including day to day activities as well as annual large plan audit.  You will contact benefit providers as needed to resolve claim issues, verify eligibility and handle all other administrative matters.  You will also recommend, design and implement a “Best in Class” cost effective suite of benefits that supports GHD’s vision of caring for our employees.  This position may be located in any one of our larger Regional Offices.    

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or related field of industry
  • A minimum of 5-7 year’s related professional experience
  • Extensive understanding of federal and state employee benefit regulations
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems
  • Multi location, multi state experience a must
  • Periodic travel to regional offices is required
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to present materials and speak to employee audiences of all sizes
