Associate Benefits Analyst (Part-time)

Our New Hartford office is seeking an Associate Benefits Analyst who will assume the following responsibilities: coordinates benefits enrollments, terminations and changes; audits and reconciles all benefits invoices; participates in new hire orientation program; coordinates termination notifications and COBRA processing; reviews SPDs and facilitates any updates that are needed; works with internal resources to ensure all benefits related information posted for employees is updated; coordinates communications related to open enrollment; acts as liaison between employees/retirees and our benefits vendors and works with both parties to resolve any issues; works with employees/retirees to help them understand benefit options; maintains current knowledge of related regulations and participates in meetings to discuss and determine appropriate benefits strategy.

Candidates will have 4 year college degree or equivalent business experience, with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in benefits field. Should have working knowledge of welfare benefit plans and 401(k) plans; pension plan familiarity is a plus. Must have excellent verbal and writing skills and strong presentation skills. Successful candidate will be highly analytical and detail-oriented, with strong mathematical and PC aptitude. Excel proficiency preferred. Must be self-motivated and resourceful, with strong ability to meet and contend with frequent deadlines. Needs to have ability to interpret government regulations. Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times. This is a part-time position (29 hours/week).
