Ask The Experts – Advice from the Professionals that Know Best!

In this 60 minute, the four member panel will provide guidance and answers to the most challenging HR and legislative questions affecting Human Resources professionals today.  Participants will have the opportunity to submit a question related to the expertise of one of the four panel members and the Session Host will anonymously ask the questions for the panel to respond to.

Julia Day - Regional Director of the Rochester-Syracuse Office for the New York State Division of Human Rights – Julia can speak on issues relating to discrimination and the Human Rights Law, and has often conducted training on the Human Rights Law, investigation techniques, and conciliation.

Ben Shaw - Senior Attorney in the Department of Labor Counsel Office – Ben will provide guidance and compliance assistance by assisting with references to statutes, regulations, interpretations.

Kristen Smith - Labor and Employment Law attorney at Bond, Schoeneck & King – Kristen can assist with questions around employment policies and agreements, employee handbooks, wage and hour compliance, workplace harassment, wrongful discharge, employment discrimination, collective bargaining and unfair labor practices.

Bill Ranous - HR Director from MACNY - Bill’s expertise is in Affirmative Action Plans, compensation systems, and various HR support services for HR Professionals.
