Descriptive Title - Classification & Compensation Analyst
Payroll Title - Personnel Associate

Job Standard/ Operational Need
Will assist in the administration of a comprehensive classification and compensation program for State and Research Foundation employment groups. Duties will include, conducting training and experience reviews to determine appropriate compensation; assisting in classification reviews of new and existing positions to include timely preparation of written classification analysis and FLSA determinations; conducting compensation reviews for new and existing positions to include market survey and internal equity analysis, researching employee work and salary history; meeting with department staff and employees to conduct desk audits; processing appropriate paperwork to effect title, salary, FTE changes; assisting with independent contractor determinations,  extra-service review and processing, and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field and a minimum of two years professional human resources experience or Associate's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field and four years of professional human resources experience, plus excellent written/oral communication,  organizational  and interpersonal skills required. Previous classification and compensation experience in a healthcare, higher education or public organizational setting strongly preferred. Understanding of and appreciation for the complexities of a unionized academic medical center essential.
