POSITION:          Human Resources Assistant III (for CBNA and BPAS in Utica)
LOCATION:         Dewitt, NY
REPORTS TO:      Chief Human Resources Officer
FLSA STATUS:     Non-Exempt
SALARY RANGE:  Based on experience
HOURS:              40 Hours/Week
OPEN DUE TO:     Employee Departure

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clerical support for the Human Resources Department
  • Manage the HRIS system relating to new hires, changes, and terminations for the DeWitt Office employees, and subsidiaries of CBSI
  • Prepare job postings for all open positions in the company as often as daily
  • Maintain the Training Library
    • Respond to requests; handle outgoing and incoming library items
  • Support the bank’s recruiting efforts
    • Post jobs on required websites
    • Prepare and disseminate Affirmative Action letters
    • Keep applicant logs for DeWitt Office and subsidiaries
  • Function as an NMLS (National Mortgage Licensing System) System Administrator
  • Coordinate the training database and indentify trends and efficiencies
  • Maintain Personnel Files for all DeWitt and subsidiaries’ employees
  • Maintain required HR posters to keep the organization legal and compliant
  • Perform periodic Human Resources/Payroll/Benefits audits and recommend corrective action


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:      Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; prefer, AAS degree in Administrative field

Skills:   Excellent oral and written communication, grammar and spelling skills; superior attention to detail; a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); a self-starter that is comfortable learning new/different computer systems; ability to work independently and maintain high levels of confidentiality.


Experience:  1-2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferred.
