Functional Business Analyst

Syracuse University's Office of Human Resources is seeking information technology (IT) professionals for functional business analyst positions.  The Functional Business Analyst will work with management and users to analyze, design, implement and/or support Human Resources business applications and systems. Develop detailed, functional system and program specifications using structured design methodologies. Strengths usually revolve around communication, organization and cross-functional business and application knowledge. This position does not typically involve hands-on programming, but focuses more on system investigation and design.

Analytical skills are needed to gather useful information from different sources, while creativity drives the development of new solutions to old problems.

A Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  Familiarity with PeopleSoft and Hyperion is desired.
