Our client seeks a Vice President of Human Resources to provide leadership for execution of human resource initiatives for the Western and Central New York Market.

 

This experienced HR professional will assist the CEO, COO and CFO and executive management team in development of strategies for fostering positive employee relations through sharing of leading practices, consultation, coordination, knowledge sharing, and implementation of innovative human resource practices that are consistent and aligned across the market.

 

As an engaged business partner, the Vice President of Human Resources will actively participate in developing the organization’s strategic direction for human resources with particular emphasis on those items that influence recruitment, motivation, and retention of the people resources of the organization.

 

Requirements


  • Requires a human resources executive with a minimum of 15 years experience, with at least 7 years in a senior management capacity, who will be able to strategically and tactfully evaluate and implement sophisticated HR related programs and initiatives; be able to work with a variety of organizational leadership to build consensus around HR strategy and tactics; have a demonstrated background in talent management and leadership management; as well as have a proven ability to attract and retain outstanding talent and assemble and motivate a high performance HR team.

 

  • The executive must demonstrate the ability to build/retain credibility for the human resources function through his/her professional qualifications and leadership skills as well as project the highest levels of integrity and fairness.

 

  • The executive must possess the ability to understand and analyze complex human interactions, respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints, establish a sense of trust and fairness and make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex issues to employee groups and management at all levels.

 

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources or other appropriate field with a Masters degree and/or SPHR certification strongly preferred.
