Job Summary:

The HR Generalist plays a key role in ensuring that INFICON provides the ideal environment for employees to thrive and do what they do best.  This individual is a key contributor on the HR team.  Initially, this individual will be heavily focused on staffing, but there will be other important HR responsibilities also. 


Responsibilities:

  • Front line contact for employees for day to day interactions
  • Provide support for recruitment process from job postings to offer acceptance
  • Administer employee on-boarding/orientation process and termination process
  • Counsel supervisors on employee related matters
  • Administer a formal intern/college recruiting program
  • Assist with employee development/training programs and the Employee Development Assessment (EDA) Process
  • Cross train on Benefits and Compliance and provide back-up/assistance as needed
  • Assist with implementation of an interview training program that ties INFICON’s key competencies with the recruitment/staffing process
  • Assist with event coordination as needed (wellness fairs, blood drives, miscellaneous company events)
  • Perform other duties and project work as needed

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, or related field with a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in an HR generalist role, including at least 1 year of experience with full life cycle staffing, preferably in a corporate or staffing agency environment. 
  • Energetic, highly motivated, and able to work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment while remaining composed in stressful and sensitive situations; maintain complete discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to source, screen, and select viable candidates; well versed in utilizing social media and state of the art recruiting strategies, job boards, referrals, college recruiting, networking, and other recruiting sources to attract, locate, and retain qualified candidates
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills evidencing the ability to effectively manage multiple and changing priorities
  • Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, email, and calendar functions
  • Strong knowledge of Federal and State laws, AA/EEO, and ADA
  • Valid driver’s license, and ability to travel domestically for recruitment meetings, college visits, and career fairs approximately 5-10%
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule when necessary to interact with candidates during non-typical business hours
  • Perform other duties and project work as assigned

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience successfully staffing in a technical environment for temporary, exempt, and non-exempt technical positions is preferred
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now Applicant Tracking is preferred
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) certification is preferred
  • GPA of 3.0 or better is preferred.
