Job Title:  Multi-Cultural Affairs/Diversity – City of Syracuse

American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator

I coordinate, assist, and administer annual Diversity Awareness Training for City Employees.  I assist in conducting investigations of complaints of alleged discrimination in the workplace.  I assist City Department in recruitment and retention of employees to create a more diverse workforce.  I develop training for departmental use, i.e. customer service, sensitivity training, facilitator training, etc.   I function as the American with Disability Act (ADA) Coordinator for City of Syracuse. As the ADA Coordinator, I work with persons with disabilities to ensure access and accommodations for them are met.  I am responsible for City employees’ accessibility and accommodation needs as well as persons in the Syracuse community. I also serve as the Employee Assistance Program Coordinator for City Services.

Interests:  Adjunct Instructor.  Was an Adjunct Instruction for Bryant & Stratton College for several years. Enjoy my roles as Facilitator and Presenter on issues concerning diversity, American with Disabilities Act, youth self-esteem, motivational, and continuing education.
