Human Resource Generalist - POMCO Group

This position will be partnering with the POMCO Group management team and Human Resources leadership to provide consultation and support on HR initiatives in the areas of HRIS, recruitment and retention, benefits and corporate wellness with the objective of increasing employee, management, and organizational effectiveness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with hiring manager and manager of recruitment and compensation to determine staffing needs and selection criteria.
  • Assist with recruitment activities and processes including candidate sourcing, screening and evaluation, management advisement, development and internship partnerships. Primary focus on non-exempt positions.
  • Partner with HR Team to develop and implement company-wide people programs and processes.
  • Conduct and coordinate new hire orientation and on boarding program.
  • Ensure current job descriptions are developed and maintained for all positions in coordination with the manager of recruitment and compensation.
  • Provide recruitment and benefit metrics as scheduled and requested.
  • Assist in developing short and long-term departmental goals and objectives.
  • Assist with communication of corporate policies and procedures related to assigned HR functional areas.
  • Lead the company benefits programs and corresponding open enrollments and wellness initiatives in coordination with the HR Coordinator and HR Director.
  • Maintains and administers HRIS for all functional HR areas.
  • Provides training support to the HR team, which may include preparing training materials and conducting employee training.
  • Maintains strict confidence in employment matters.
  • Manage and implement special projects as assigned.
  • Participates on departmental, company and employee engagement committees.
  • Additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from a 4-year accredited college or university required.
  • 1-3 years of HR experience either through internship and/or professional experience. 
  • ADP/HRB experience strongly preferred.
