Human Resources Generalist - Crouse Medical Practice, PLLC

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level.  The position participates in the following areas: benefit and leave administration, employee relations, onboarding, recruitment/employment, HRIS data management.  This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for HR inquiries from management and staff
  • Support hiring managers to fill clinical and clerical vacancies by maintaining applicant flow and coordinating interviews across departments
  • Recruit candidate pool for current and future positions
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and assist with the onboarding process
  • Process new hires and data changes in HRIS system
  • Maintain membership in the organization’s Employee Engagement Committee
  • Assist with annual benefit open enrollment communication
  • Assist with benefit administration, including communicating benefit information to employees
  • File Worker’s Compensation claims and gather follow up information as necessary
  • Respond to unemployment claims
  • Administer Leave of Absence (LOA) policy and track and report back to management regarding employee LOA’s
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Responsible for maintaining employee personnel files
  • Performance Annual license verification
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars as required
  • Maintains company organization chart
  • Assist with development and revisions of job descriptions, evaluations tools, policies and procedures and employee handbook.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources or Management
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of HR experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Flexible and able to multitask
  • Proven ability to effectively manage time and prioritize appropriately
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Certification in Human Resources
  • Past experience in Human Resources in a healthcare environment

Job Type:

Full Time, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be
required as job duties demand.
