A Legal Perspective on Workplace Bullying

This program has been approved for 1.5 (General ) recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute.

How do we define “bullying” in the workplace?  How is this type of conduct entering our workplace?  This program will examine the legal aspects of workplace bullying and legislative measures that lawmakers have taken or have proposed, to date, to combat against workplace bullying.  Anti-bullying legislation has been proposed in New York State; what would be the legal implications to employers if such a law were enacted?  We will also explore the use of social media as it relates to workplace bullying.  Finally, we will discuss practical tips and considerations for employers.
