Human Resources Business Partner - Raymond Corp. (Green. NY) - Temporary

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, plans, conducts and overseas assignments in functional areas of human resources including but not limited to employee relations, recruitment and employment, employee records, job evaluation, compensation, benefits administration, organizational development, training, affirmative action/equal employment opportunity, and/or special projects. Oversees the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through Personnel Practices Manual, various corporate communications, and/or meetings. Prepares reports in conformance with legislated requirements or organization needs. May provide oversight and/or guidance for lower level Human Resources Generalist – Business Partners.

Job Requirements:

  • Plays a leadership role in the development of human resources objectives and plans and makes recommendations for enhancements in support of departmental and corporate strategies.
  • Acts as internal Human Resources consultant to assigned groups, providing leadership, guidance and advice on a wide range of topics.
  • Ensures an environment of positive employee relations. This is accomplished through the development of relationships within assigned groups and a proactive engagement in the day-to-day business activities, and supported by fair and consistent interpretation and application of policies and procedures.
  • Sets the example for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality in all aspects of day-to-day activities.
  • Develops and implements recruitment plans for all openings in assigned divisions. This includes identification of sources for quality candidates and identification of areas where internal development is appropriate. Works closely with HR Staffing Administrator to expedite the hiring process.
  • Performs workforce planning and talent management for assigned area(s).
  • Leads efforts to proactively assess department and organizational needs for training and development, and provides support to Organization Development & Training Specialists in the development of a wide range of organizational development initiatives.
  • Implements a wide range of programs such as leadership development (succession planning), performance management, benefit initiatives, compensation/merit, organizational development and training programs.
  • Identifies needs and leads efforts designed to ensure Human Resource programs are compliant with all legal requirements and ensures that, to the extent possible, the needs of the business and the employee are balanced.
  • Ensures timely and accurate completion of related paperwork to implement employee transactions (e.g. Employee Requisition Transaction Forms, Staffing Forms, NEO Forms, etc.) for their assigned area(s), and ensures records are maintained/updated with appropriate supporting material.
  • Develops and reports assigned metrics. Using metrics, identifies opportunities for improvement and implements programs accordingly.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Education/Experience:

Fully competent professional position, requiring a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent. Master’s Degree is strongly preferred. Professional designations are also preferred (i.e. SPHR, CEBS, etc.).

More than 8 years professional experience and leadership experience is required.
