Manager - Human Resources Business Partner & Corporate Staffing -  Raymond Corp. (Greene, NY)

Job Summary:

Under limited supervision, plans, conducts and overseas assignments for a wide variety of HR programs in support of the Sales & Marketing and Engineering Organization. Strategically manages talent acquisition for the entire corporation. Program functional areas include, but are not limited to, employee relations, compensation, performance management, job analysis and description, recruiting, workers compensation, affirmative action/equal employment opportunity, rewards and recognition and special assignments. Ensures all programs are in full compliance with relevant regulations and laws. Oversees the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through Personnel Practices Manual, various corporate communications, and/or meetings. Prepares reports in conformance with legislated requirements or organization needs.

Job Requirements:

  • Plays a leadership role in corporate recruiting and the development of human resources strategy group objectives and makes recommendations for enhancements in support of departmental and corporate strategies.
  • Is subject matter expert in all programs areas and provides guidance and advice to all levels of the organization.
  • Sets the example for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality in all aspects of day-to-day activities.
  • Plays a lead role in the assessment of organizational program needs, and the design, development, implementation and administration of programs in support of those needs for their supported organization.
  • Plays a lead role in the development and oversight of the budget for programs area and manages overall budget with highest level of fiscal responsibility.
  • Prepares program proposals and delivers to members of senior management and executives. This includes preparation of high quality proposal materials and oral presentations.
  • Oversees all aspects of compliance for all Human Resources programs (e.g. ERISA, HIPAA, FLSA, FMLA, etc.).
  • Plays a lead role and/or oversees processes for Requests for Proposals, contract negotiation, vendor selection, vendor implementation, and vendor relationships.
  • Sets the example for project planning and management, ensuring a sense of urgency is applied to all projects with strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Monitors human resources trends, and provides input to ensure competitiveness for programs.
  • Sets the example for customer service levels to ensure high levels of satisfaction among customers and may provide oversight to lower level HR Generalists.
  • Makes presentations to groups of employees or other customers. Sets example for open and timely communication within Human Resources to ensure organizational credibility. May author communications as required.
  • Sets the example for timely and accurate administration of all programs, including timely and accurate completion of all related paperwork and documentation (e.g. benefit enrollment, leave of absence, merit, staffing, etc.). Sets example for appropriate follow through. Maintains records with appropriate supporting material, and updates records as necessary.
  • Develops and reports assigned metrics. Monitors trends and implements programs to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Education/Experience:

Fully competent professional position, requiring a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent. Master’s Degree is strongly preferred. Professional designations are also preferred (i.e. SPHR, CEBS, etc.).

More than 8 years professional experience and leadership experience is required.
