Recruiter/Employment Specialist - Syracuse University

Syracuse University’s Office of Human Resources has an exciting opportunity for a full life-cycle recruiter who will be responsible for supporting positions in a fast-paced recruiting organization. This benefits eligible full-time recruiter position is needed to fulfill the expanding strategic and tactical objectives of the HR recruitment team through the sourcing, hiring and retention of best-fit staff and faculty. He/she will be responsible for recruiting process management, partnering with hiring departments and applicants, managing high-touch relationships and recruiting across multiple disciplines. The full-time recruiter will understand the technical/functional hiring needs and translate those into effective recruiting strategies to find applicants; proactively search external resume databases; and maintain contact with hard to find skilled applicants to keep them interested in SU opportunities. He/she will identify recruiting opportunities by researching new sources for talent, networking with college placement officers, generating and auditing recruitment data, and assisting with the growing support services needs of the recruitment department.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, marketing, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. Demonstrated ability to use social media to attract, engage, and recruit passive candidates is strongly desired.
