Employee Benefit Specialist - Derrenbacker Group Benefit Specialists, LLC

Full-time opportunity to work for a local insurance professional who maintains a growing employee benefit practice. The primary responsibility is to service our active employee benefit clients who are insured for either Group Life, Group Short and Long Term Disability, Group Long Term Care, or qualified retirement plans (401k). The job responsibilities include: obtaining competitive bids for RFP opportunities; consolidating quotes and preparing the RFP; handling the case while in underwriting; employee communication and implementation meetings; client service including billing and claims; taking clients through renewal process and preparing market analysis; marketing and branding of current practice; maintaining and updating client database. In addition to the employee benefit work, the individual will be cross trained on service and support of individual life, disability and long term care insurance clients. Salary would range from 45-55k depending upon experience. Benefits would be offered after a probationary period and would include: paid time off, life and health insurance, gas card, retirement plan and bonus plan. Job requirements include a two year associates degree or higher. Past experience in the industry is required, and knowledge of 401k plans is preferred.
