HR Generalist - Madison Cortland Arc (Oneida, NY)
Madison Cortland Arc is currently seeking an HR Generalist with concentration in recruitment, retention, and new hire on-boarding in the Oneida, NY area. The HR Generalist performs a variety of HR administrative functions with primary responsibility for recruitment and staffing processes at all Madison and Cortland county locations, including background screenings, new hire on-boarding, and orientation.
Position Summary:
- Manages recruitment process for all Madison and Cortland county locations to include: preparation of job vacancy announcements, identifying and coordinating internal/external postings, attending job fairs, conducting initial screenings, and resume/application management.
- Responsible for new hire on-boarding; ensuring that all required paperwork and checks are completed; verify credentialing/licensures/education as appropriate.
- Maintains accurate records of all necessary pre-employment screenings (i.e. DMV LENS Program, DOH, and Exclusion List, OPWDD Criminal Background Checks)
- Maintains official personnel files for the agency including volunteers, student interns, and contracted clinicians.
- Completes internal audits of HR files; compiles information from personnel data and prepares reports as requested.
- Regular travel to Cortland county locations, required.
- Tracks performance evaluation dates; logs completed performance evaluations.
- Provides back up for other primary HR personnel/functions as needed.
Education/Experience: Associates degree in human resources, business administration, or related field and two years related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient computer skills and data entry. Experience with recruiting highly beneficial.
Salary is $12.50/hour plus an excellent benefits package.
