We are seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to join our highly motivated senior leadership team. 

The Vice President of Human Resources will manage a small, geographically distributed staff and will be responsible for all HR functions globally. We are looking for a leader who is equally comfortable with hands on operations as with designing strategies for building high performance cultures. We seek a phenomenal leader with the ability to understand the people, organization, and how to achieve excellence. This position works closely with the senior management team to attract, retain, develop, and motivate superior talent. The Vice President of Human Resources is a direct report to the Chief Executive Officer and a key member of the leadership team.

Major Function

Develops human resources policies and programs for the entire company, including organizational planning, recruiting, training, development, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and employee services. Develops human resources practices and objectives that will provide a balanced program across all functions and geographies. Coordinates implementation through human resources staff.  Some travel is required.

Essential functions

  • Develop a world class culture of accountability and excellence.

  • Create strategic recruitment and selection plans.

  • Design and develop strategic compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels.

  • Ensure ongoing compliance of all legal and organizational requirements, standards, and procedures and advises management on needed actions.

  • Create training and organizational development to meet personal, professional and organizational needs of employees.

  • Oversee ongoing annual performance management review processes, including system design, development, training, individual development plans, result tracking, and succession planning.

  • Manage the design, selection, and administration of all global employee benefits programs to optimize needs and costs of the organization.

  • Evaluate, recommend, and direct the administration of benefit programs.

  • Evaluate procedures and technology solutions to improve human resources data management.

  • Recommend and maintain an organizational structure and staffing levels to accomplish company goals and objectives.

  • Develop and manage annual human resources budget and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses.

  • Establish and implement departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

  • Within a rapidly changing environment, counsel the senior management team concerning the human resources impact of personnel, operations, and financial decisions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in human resources or related field. SPHR desired. Experience working in a global organization with private equity backing.

  • Ten years’ experience gained through increasingly responsible management positions within human resources including a generalist background with broad knowledge of recruitment, compensation, employee relations, benefits, and training and development. Well-developed administrative human resources skills. Strong management skills involving policies, principles and people.

  • Several years’ recent experience as the top human resources executive of a medium-sized organization, or number two in a large organization, is preferred, ideally in a software or similar knowledge-based company.
