Senior Human Resources Manager / HR Business Partner – CCSI

 

Position Overview:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide human resources support, primarily on 2nd shift, to internal and external customers with a strong emphasis on training and employee relations. Other focuses will include recruiting, talent development, and communications. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

 

MAJOR DUTIES:

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties assigned:

1. Advise distribution center (DC) management on all human resource (HR) decisions and function as both a change agent and an employee advocate to meet DC goals.

2. Conduct new employee orientation and training administraton and record keeping.

3. Coordinate on-the-job trainer development and certification.

4. Supervise the hourly clerical staff in the management of payroll, benefits, reporting, record keeping, and related administrative processes.

5. Administer performance management and review progress for all hourly and salaried associates, including both career development and progressive discipline.

6. Implement DC policies, procedures, and practices consistent with corporate guidelines and government regulations.

7. Provide generalist HR support in the form of staffing, training, and safety management (as applicable) and related projects as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position may directly supervises HR clerical staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Rite Aid policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining associates; appraising associate performance; and resolving complaints.

· Proficiency with the Windows systems (Word, Excel, Power-Point, and Access) and Outlook email or equivalent.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in human resources or related field, plus a minimum of one to three (1- 3) years’ experience in human resources management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Certification: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) is preferred.
