August Program: Competing for Talent in Our High-Pressure, Fluid Environment:

Hot Topics in Compensation

Presented by: Jennifer C. Loftus, MBA, SPHR, PHRca, GPHR, SHRM-SCP, CCP, CBP, GRP, is a Founding Partner of and National Director for Astron Solutions

While many employers are returning to more normalized operations following the COVID-19 pandemic, attracting, retaining, and motivating talent is anything but normal.  Every day, employers feel the pressure from multiple workplace changes that have occurred since the start of COVID-19 lockdowns.  For many Human Resources and Total Rewards practitioners, attracting and retaining talent in a hot market feels like a daily struggle – one that can’t be won.

Competing for Talent in Our High-Pressure, Fluid Environment: Hot Topics in Compensation will examine several pressure points impacting employers of all sizes and industries.  These external influences include and not limited to

  • Employees’ ongoing remote work expectations,

  • Minimum wage increases – by both governments and employers, and

  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts were brought to the forefront of the national conversation.

Attendees will gain an understanding of each topic’s impacts on Human Resources and Total Rewards. Competing for Talent in Our High-Pressure, Fluid Environment: Hot Topics in Compensation will explore multiple approaches for successfully addressing each pressure point through effective programs and policies.  We’ll also have our traditional debrief on this year’s CNY SHRM / MACNY Compensation and Benefits Survey results!

After this fast-paced session, attendees will come away with practical tips to use in their organizations right away, as well as food for thought & future implementation.  Participants will have the opportunity to share their views during interactive polling throughout the program.  There’s also ample time for Q&A, so bring your questions!

Questions will be accepted both prior to and during the session.  To submit your Total Rewards question(s) prior to the live session, please include them when you register.

We look forward to seeing you on August 12th for this informative and timely session filled with information you need to know.
